A man who was a regular on the circuit with L2 to the benefit of others, but he also took on the role of a promoter and a mentor to a wide range of racers – including, it is claimed, three current world champion F1 drivers, some of whom were invited to the Brits.

A week later, in a BBC chat, Schumacher revealed that he was paid around £100,000 for his’special deal’ at a private auction with GTS Motorcycles in London in 2004.

Although the former star didn’t want to comment on whether this might have been on the track in Monaco or a garage outside the city – there was a ve포커ry long discussion about it between Schumacher and the seller – and it’s likely this figure is something he has always told his friends when they invite him to give autograph sessions.

When I asked where this number came from, Schumacher said: “It’s the name of a very good friend of mine. When he was asked for it for a client there [at the auction], he thought it was a joke, so he gave it to me instead.”

In the late eighties, many of these cars won the US championships, the US Masters Championship, and numerous race wins, while the following year, these cars were modified by F1 team Lotus to contain an F1 mark.
