The Parenting Place in La Crosse is hoping to branch out and help more families in the area with the help of a new grant Wisconsin's Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board recently awarded a three-year grant to the Parenting Place
allowing them to provide free classes for their 'Positive Parenting Program' to families in La Crosse Trempealeau Vernon and Monroe counties Previously
the program was only offered in La Crosse and Monroe counties Educators at The Parenting Place say the classes can help parents learn how to handle a wide range of situations ranging from bedtime to sibling rivalries These are all very normal issues that most parents face at one time or another, but we know all parents get a little stuck and could use a little help, you know, maybe some more tools to get out of a challenging time in their child's life
The grant also allows The Parenting Place to take their classes on the road to places like schools churches and businesses For more information on the Positive Parenting Program you can go to the Parenting Place's website
